Here at the Johnstone River Community Gardens, we love composting, and want everyone else to love it too!
But we know that sometimes there are hurdles to composting successfully – maybe you don’t have a backyard for a compost-bin, maybe you accidentally killed your last batch of worms, or maybe you just don’t know how to start a compost-heap, and you’re afraid of making something a little bit funky.
Never fear though, because the Gardens are here to help you out!
Community Composting Hub
For those people who don’t have the space for a compost-bin or worm-farm, the Gardens have established a ‘Community Compost Drop’, so that members of the public can bring-in their fruit and veggie scraps for composting.
We’re now even on ShareWaste – an app that connects people who want to compost but can’t, with their neighbours who are already composting!
