NAIDOC Picnic
Join us on Sunday 4th July for the Opening Ceremony of NAIDOC Week on the Cassowary Coast. The theme is Heal Country and calls for all of us to continue to seek greater protections for our lands, our waters, our sacred sites and our cultural heritage from exploitation, desecration and destruction.
Activities include: traditional weaving practice, children's activities, indigenous dye, fibre & food garden tour. More details to be advised.
Refreshments and Garden Harvest Lunch available.
This event will follow QLD Gov Covid Safe Guidelines. Potential attendees WILL NOT be admitted if they have returned from overseas within the last two weeks, have flu-like symptoms or have had or been in contact with anyone who has contracted the virus.

National Tree Day Picnic
Join us on Sunday 1st August for our celebration of National Tree Day. National Tree Day is a call to action for all Australians to put their hands in the earth and give back to their community. It's a day to venture outdoors, get to know your community and most importantly have fun. Free activities include native seedling propagation, previous tree day plantings tour, weaving, children's activities. More details to follow.

Pink Picnic
Celebrate Spring with our special Pink Picnic to raise awareness of Breast Cancer and support the Innisfail Breast Cancer Support Group. Zero Waste Weekend Picnic
Join us for a weekend of celebrating the beautiful place we live while learning how to improve our environment with recycling and reusing; activities and education. On Saturday we walk along the river collecting rubbish which we will sort and count on sunday morning to provide data for Planet Ark. Activities also include childrens activities, nature fibre weaving, live music and garden forage tour.

Arbor Picnic
Join us for the first Community Garden Picnic for 2022 on Sunday 13th February! (was postponed from the 6th)
We will celebrate Tu B'Shevat - The Birthday of Trees with tree plantings, 'Conversations with an Arborist', stalls by Landcare, Terrain and the new Community Garden at Bingil Bay. Along with our usual garden tour, lunch and childrens activities the picnic will be going ahead rain or shine on Sunday 13th February, so bring your raincoat and gumboots if it is still raining and enjoy a chat with a bunch of likeminded gardening people 🙂

Clean Up Australia Weekend
Saturday the 5th we will walk the riverbank collecting litter...
Sunday the 6th we will celebrate with our picnic...
Join us for a weekend of removing litter from our riverbank before it washes into our waterways and on Sunday we will have educational stalls and conversations on upcycling, reusing and recycling, etc. along with our BBQ lunch, childrens' activities and garden tour.
